I got me a lid.

And so it begins...

MSF course starts next Wednesday.

I still haven't found a bike. Apparently 450-500 CC's go like hotcakes here in SoCal. A 250 is just too small for me, and an 1100 is too damn big and wasteful. Where's my happy medium?!

It all began on a suffocating July afternoon, standing in a crowded noisy repair shop on the wrong side of the tracks. A short hispanic mechanic was

"We started tearing down your transmission, and man, there was just a mess in there, so we just went ahead and replaced it with a new updated rebuilt one." I looked down at the smudged receipt placed in my hand by the short Hispanic mechanic. It said $1400.

"Oh." yeah. oh. Why the (insert four letter word) didn't you call me first?

It was all downhill after that. I have now sold my car to someone with an income, but now my freedom is holding it's breath under water...
